vamu java(ajwain rice)

This is a break fast recipe which is good to reduce flum in our bodies.
Ingredients:

Rice fflakes........1 c
Onion..................1 small
Garlic...................a small pod
ginger.....small root
green chilly....4
Ajwain......1 tbsp
Tamarind juice......1/4 th cup
salt........as required
turmeric........a little bit
Curry leaves.....some
water.....2 cups

METHOD:
  • Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan .add garlic cloves

  • fry them for a minute.Add chopped onion,green chilly,curry leaves and ginger.

  • When the onion fried add ajwain and fry for 1 min.

  • Now add the rice flakes ,water.Cover and cook until the rice flakes are cooked well.
  • After that add salt and tamarind juice .

  • Cover and cook for more 5 minutes.

Remove from the stove and serve hot with a tsp of sesame oil on the top.It has to be taken as a a break fast.(so that it works on flum).

Boiled ground nuts chat


INGREDIENTS:
Boiled ground nuts.....1 cup
Onion...................1 small
Salt........as required
lemon juice.......1 tsp(or as required)
Garam masala/chat masala..........1/2 tsp
Coriander powder.....1/2 tsp
Pepper papad.......1
Some cilantro.......for garnishing.

METHOD:

  • Boil the ground nuts and remove from the nuts from inside.


  • Chop the onion.
  • Mix all other ingredients with the nuts.
  • Smoke the papad in microwave for 30 seconds.
  • make it into small pieces and mix in the ground nuts.
  • Serve with cilantro on it.
It tastes great..

Vankaya Pulusu Pachadi




This is my entry for JFI-eggplant hosted by sangeeta of ghar ka khana.



INGREDIENTS:
Brinjal...............large one,1
Onion..........1
Green chilly.....4
Ginger.......medium root
Salt..as per taste
Tamarind.........juice of a medium size ball
turmeric........1 pinch

For Tampering..
Garlic....1/2 the pod
urad dall........1 tbsp
gram dall.......1 tbsp
cumin seeds....1 tsp
mustard seeds....1 tsp
curry leaves......1 stalk
asaefotida.........a pinch

METHOD:

  • Brush the brinjal with some oil.Keep it on the stove as shown in the picture.


Turn it so that the whole brinjal can cook.

  • When the brinjal cooked properly on every side ,take off from the stove and keep it in cool water.After it cooled remove the skin of it.



  • Now chop the onion ,green chilly and ginger.Mix them with the brinjal.Add salt ,turmeric and tamarind juice.mix it well.

  • Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan and fry the tamapering.


  • Mix with the brinjal+tamarind mixture.

  • Garnish with some coriander if u like.

serve with rice or chapathi.
