Chikkudu Kaya (indian broad beans)Recipes





SIMPLE FRY


INGREDIENTS":

Chikkudu kayalu..............1/4 lb
Onion.................................1
Salt........as required
Red Chilly Powder.........as per the taste

For The Tampering:
Urad dall.......1 tsp
Gram dal.....1 tsp
Mustard seeds.....1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds....1/2 tsp
Ground nuts/Cashew nuts.....hand full(optional)




METHOD:Cut the beans into small pieces.Heat 1 tbsp of oil and add the ingredients for the tampering.When it done add the chopped onion.When they fried add the beans .cover and cook for some time.Add salt and red chilly powder .Cook for naother 5 min.or until done.
Serve with chapathi or rice...


CURRY WITH POTATO


INGREDIENTS:
Beans......1/4 lb
Potato......2 medium ones
Onion.......1
Tomato....1
Ginger......small root

Salt.......as required
Red chilly powder....as per the taste
Green chilly...2(optional)




METHOD:Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan.Add the chopped onion along with ginger and green chilly.
When they fried add the potato pieces and chopped beans.Cover and cook for some time.Now add the chopped tomato.Add salt and red chilly powder.Cover and cook for sometime.If needed add 1/4 th cup of water and cook.Cook until all well cooked.Serve with chapathi or rice..
